| Description | The Wongan Hills Airfield has 2 runways one bitumin & one gravel. The strip is a 10min walk to town. Camping will be allowed on the strip or you can use the Caravan Park, Pub or farm stays. The Caravan Park and Pub are 10min walk or you can catch the bus that will be operating to ferry people around for the event. Also the town has a great swiming pool to cool down in should we get some warm weather > 40 deg The town will also arrange tours of the museum, arts-crafts, etc for those partners that are not all that keen on gyro activities. Basic Program: Thursday/Good Friday:- Arrivals & registration, Local flying. Saturday:- Comps as usual. Sunday:- Local flying. Mini Nav ex to local spot for BBQ. Fly the salt lakes and return for Presentation Dinner at the Bowling Club. Monday:- Nav ex to Coast BYO lunch at Cevantes and return. Tuesday:- Rest day or if you want join Nav ex to water bomber base and return. Wed to Fri - Choice of TA Course, Instructors Course, Human Factors. ASRA Website addtional information LINK HERE |
